As Assistant Manager, Information Services for Prairie Swine
Centre, Ken is responsible coordinating delivery of extension
programs. Areas of activity include: website and database
development, economic modeling, special events coordination,
publication of fact sheets, newsletters and annual research
report. Other extension activities also include the development
of various tools to assist producers in calculating sort loss
and returns across various packing agreements. In addition,
Ken is also actiively involved in developing and coordinating
the risk management program (hogs and feed grain requirements)
for Prairie Swine Centre. Ken works as a part of the Technology
Transfer team to develop communication programs that allow
the commercial pork industry to adopt new technologies.
