Dr. Haq joined the Prairie Swine Centre as Research Assistant – Nutrition in 2007. He contributes to the different aspects of nutrition including protocol development, conduct of experiments, statistical analysis, report writing and publishing.
Before joining the Prairie Swine centre, Dr. Haq was employed as Nutritionist at the Western Alfalfa Milling Co., Ltd., Norquay, Saskatchewan.

Current Research Program
- The current focus of Dr. Haq’s research program is to study the fatty acid profile of subcutaneous fat of finishing swine after feeding diet based on extruded flaxseed. The research will lead to the opportunities of increasing omega-3 fatty acid content of pork.
