November 20, 2020

The rate of water use in swine production impacts the overall production cost and the environment. It is usually used for cleaning, animal drinking, cooling and domestic use. The quantity of water use in the different production stages and units has not been discovered. The largest contribution to water consumption was animal drinking at 80%. There are many methods that can be used to reduce water consumption in a barn. The amount of water used in a swine facility should be tracked to detect areas that can be improved and decrease the overall cost of water wastage.
