Purpose and Objective of the Research
This study involves a Canada-wide survey of best management practices implemented on swine facilities throughout Canada. In this high-cost environment controlling costs and finding efficiencies in production facilities is essential for the long-term financial position of the Canadian pork industry.

This survey is a follow up to a Swine Innovation Porc project that surveyed 24 farms across Canada in 2018. By participating in this survey, you will receive a report that will benchmark your farm against other participating farms throughout Canada. In addition, your farm against will be benchmarked against identified best management practices for various production areas within production facilities.

Procedures
Data will be collected using an online survey (SurveyMonkey). Participation in the survey is voluntary and the participant’s identity will be kept anonymous. The survey will take approximately 45 minutes to complete, depending on availability of data and type of facility.  Please feel free to ask any questions regarding the procedures and goals of the study or your role.

Funded by
Swine Innovation Porc under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

Compensation
In recognition of your participation, each participant will receive $100 by mail.

Confidentiality
Your email address is requested at the end of the survey and will be used for providing compensation to participants and communication updates on the project. All results are confidential, and no information will be released to any other sources.
