Effect of Amino Acid Intake in Gestation on Sow Performance

Maximized productivity and efficiency can be produced through re-defining amino acid requirements for high-producing sows in gestation. Nutrient requirements should be met but not exceeded. Effect of lysine levels were observed, with total intakes over 10.6 g/d (8.3 g Dlys/d) of lysine in gestation not improving productivity of the sow.
