Pork Quality and What it Means For a Healthy Way of Eating

For a human to lose weight, it is recommended to have a diet with low carbohydrates, moderate protein and a high amount of fat, which may be surprising. Carbohydrates stimulate insulin release which moves energy from our blood into fat reserves. High constant levels of insulin may increase the risk of diabetes as well. Fat does not stimulate insulin release so it is a better energy source over carbohydrates. High quality pork should be less lean and include healthy fats, this way park cuts may be viewed as healthier and consumption will increase.
